Prepare the nails

Carefully push back the cuticles, shape the nails and gently buff the nail surface for optimal preparation. This creates the perfect basis for particularly good adhesion.

Cleaning

Next, soak a lint-free pad in cleaner and remove dust and residue from the nails. A clean nail surface ensures that the products can be applied evenly and adhere optimally.

Apply base coat

Apply a thin layer of UV BASE EASY OFF evenly over entire nail. Seal the tip of the nail to make the manicure last longer. The base coat is the ideal basis for gel manicures and supports a long-lasting finish.

Cure under the lamp

Then cure the base coat under a UV/LED lamp. The recommended duration is approximately 60 seconds at 45 watts. The nail is now optimally prepared for the colour layer.

Apply the desired colour

Apply the desired colour from the UV GEL EASY OFF range evenly and then cure for approx. 60 seconds. For an even more intense colour result, a second thin layer can be applied and then also cured.

Seal with top coat

Apply the UV TOP EASY OFF and also cure under the lamp for 60 seconds. It seals the colour, provides extra shine and makes the manicure extra durable. Also seal the tip of the nail to extend the durability.

Ready to shine!

Done! Look forward to intense, long-lasting colours and a shiny gel finish.

Prepare water bath

Fill a bowl with approximately 38°C warm water and add some soap and a few drops of nail oil. The water bath helps gently dissolve the gel.

Soak hands

Place the hands in the water bath for 3 to 5 minutes. This way, the manicure can gradually detach from the natural nail.

Apply nail oil

Next, apply a few drops of nail oil around the cuticles and massage gently. This helps keep the nails healthy and makes the polish easier to remove.

Carefully remove gel

Gently push the gel off the nail with a manicure stick. Work gently and without pressure to protect the natural nail.

Tips & Tricks

To protect the hands from UV rays, we recommend wearing (fabric) gloves (without fingertips) during the UV manicure. Applying sunscreen can have a negative impact on durability, as the fingernails are oily.
Buffing the nails with a fine-grit nail file significantly improves the durability of UV nail polish, as it ensures that the base coat adheres perfectly to the nail plate.
Preparing the natural nail is the most important factor in achieving good durability of the UV nail polish. The natural nail should always be clean and free of grease and dust. Thoroughly pushing back and/or removing the cuticles is an advantage.
UV nail polish should always be applied cleanly, ensuring it does not touch the skin or cuticles to avoid allergic reactions.
The edges of the nails should be covered with every layer. This prevents air from getting trapped under the UV nail polish and the UV nail polish from chipping.
Apply the UV base coat in a very thin layer to the buffed natural nail.
Apply the UV colour nail polish thinly – two thin layers are better than a thicker one.
Apply only one layer of UV top coat. The top coat in our EASY OFF range does not have a sweat layer, so there is no need to polish it with a cleaner.

The ideal lamp

For best results, use of a 45W UV/LED lamp with approximately 36 LED lights is recommended. The LEDs should be positioned both at the top and on the sides of the lamp so that each finger – especially the thumb – is cured optimally. For optimal curing, the thumb should be cured separately under the lamp.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

“How do I remove the essence UV GEL EASY OFF UV nail polish?”

Thanks to our innovative formula, there is no need for an acetone-based nail polish remover, and the tedious process of filing it off is a thing of the past! UV manicures applied with our UV GEL EASY OFF UV nail polish can now be easily removed using regular oil and soap. To do this, simply fill a bowl with approx. 38 degrees warm water and add a few drops of oil and soap. Then let the fingers soak for about 5 minutes. Afterwards, apply a little more oil to the edge of the polish and use a manicure stick to gently lift it off the natural nail. This should be done without too much effort – repeat the method if necessary.

“What kind of oil can be used for the removal?”

Any rich oil is suitable—for example, our essence nail care oil or regular olive oil. Dry oil should be avoided.

“Can lamps with a different wattage from essence recommendation also be used?”

Yes, in principle the nail polish should cure under any UV/LED lamp. However, the system was only tested at 45 watts. Therefore, we recommend curing the nail polish with 45 watt lamps for an ideal result. If the power differs, the curing time may be longer.

“The UV nail polish does not stay on the nails. What can help?”

If the nail polish doesn't stay on the nails, check that the nails have been properly prepared before the manicure. This means that the natural nail has been gently buffed and cleaned with nail cleaner to ensure the base coat adheres properly. Also, the nail edges on each nail should be well covered to prevent air from getting under the polish. It can also be helpful to cure each thumb separately under the lamp so that all sides of the nail are exposed to the light evenly.

“The UV nail polish detaches from the nail plate. What could be causing this?”

If the nail plate is incorrectly prepped and not adequately degreased, the base coat and/or nail polish is applied too thickly or the recommended wattage is not used, the UV nail polish may detach from the nail plate.

“The UV nail polish is difficult to remove. What can help?”

In principle, the essence EASY OFF system should be easy to remove. However, if the base coat has been applied too thickly or if another nail polish has been used in combination with the system, the oil removal process may not be sufficient. In this case, an acetone based nail polish remover can be used. To do this, use a coarse nail file to roughen the surface of the UV top coat thoroughly so that the nail polish remover can penetrate it well. Next, soak a cotton pad in nail polish remover and wrap it around each fingernail using aluminum foil. Let the nail polish remover work for about 10 minutes and then use a manicure stick to push the nail polish residue off the natural nail.

If the problem persists, using a polishing file instead of buffing the nails during the next manicure may help. This will allow the UV nail polish to detach from the nail plate more easily, but could alter the durability of the UV manicure on the nails.

"The nails are very short, so it's hard to cover them with the UV nail polish. Is there a trick for this?”

For short nails, the fingertips can be gently pressed down so that the nail sticks out slightly and the free nail edge can be coated. However, skin contact should also be avoided here.

“The paint is a little too thick. How can the application be made easier?”

If the nail polish is too thick, try rolling the bottle between your hands to warm it up.

“Why does the UV nail polish feel sticky after curing? Has the UV nail polish not dried properly?”

UV nail polishes generally do not air-dry and must be hardened under a UV/LED lamp. It can often help to cure the UV nail polish again under the lamp – with weaker or older UV/LED lamps, the output may not be sufficient (anymore). It should be noted that a sticky sweat layer develops in essence UV base coats and UV nail polishes even after curing. Only the essence UV TOP EASY OFF uv top coat does not leave a sweat layer after correct curing.

“The nail polish has small bubbles, what is causing this and how can it be prevented?”

If the bottle has been lying on its side for a while, roll it between your hands to make sure the pigments are evenly distributed. Wait a short time for the texture to settle before use. Another reason may be that the texture has been applied too thickly or the recommended wattage has not been observed.

“Nails feel hot under the lamp. Is this dangerous? What should be done here?”

If the natural nail has been severely damaged by the use of incorrect products or by an improper application process in the past, it is important to take proper care of the nail in order to help it regenerate outside of the UV manicure process. Avoid buffing the natural nail too much. Another reason may be that the texture has been applied too thickly or the recommended wattage has not been observed.

“How do you know that the natural nail is adequately buffed?”

The natural nail should no longer have shiny spots and look dull.
