legislation
since 1976 a europe-wide regulation has been in existence for cosmetics. the EU Cosmetics Directive (RL 76/768 EEC) has been implemented in germany in the cosmetics act. here rules are adopted such as, for example, on marking cosmetics products, on maximum quantities and restrictions on the use of certain ingredients as well as the ban on animal testing.
