calcium panthothenate
calcium salt – pantothenic acid (vitamin B5).
caprylic/capric triglyceride
a moisturising and soothing additive. also has an emulsifying effect and thus helps fatty, water-soluble ingredients in the product to link up effectively.
concealers
hide rings around the eyes, make blemishes disappear, and give you a porcelain complexion. As with make-up and powder we also distinguish here between covering and highlighting products. Whereas small impurities, reddening of the skin or small specks of pigmentation can be concealed by using covering nuances, highlighters will make even tired eyes shine. Tip: go for a nuance that is lighter rather than one that is too dark. Apply concealer and blend outwards carefully with the finger, otherwise it will quickly look as though it has been painted on. Make sure that any eye or face creams previously applied have already been absorbed.
ci numbers
abbreviation for “colour index“. because colorants have very complicated names in the cosmetics industry, agreement has been reached on an abbreviation that can be understood internationally. the german cosmetics act lists all the permitted colorants in a schedule. these are considered to be safe and tolerated for each particular application.
carbamide (INCI: urea)
is one of the skin’s natural moisture maintaining factors. is used primarily in care products because of its moisturising effect.
combination skin
characterised by oily forehead, nose and skin areas (t-zone) whereas the cheek areas tend to be dry.
cleansing
essential for well cared-for, beautiful skin and the right foundation for perfect make-up. for a radiant appearance the skin must be cleansed of make-up residue, dust, dead skin particles and talc. after that it will be in optimal condition for skin care and make-up!
